Poem: Little Boy Lost 2

The little boy is crying,

crying inside the man!

The little boy is crying,

he can only do what he can!

The little boy is crying,

there’s so much shit in this life!

The little boy is crying,

not for himself, but for his wife!

The little boy is crying,

while lying in bed at night!

The little boy is crying,

her chest is wheezy and very tight!

The little boy is crying,

when she’s struggling to breathe!

The little boy is crying,

take my lungs my dear, so you can breathe with ease!

The little boy is crying,

he feels helpless and sad!

The little boy is crying,

emphysema makes him angry and mad!

The little boy is crying,

crying in this fight!

The little boy is crying,

please give her some respite!

The little boy is crying,

when he opens his first beer!

The little boy stops crying,

because now he’s full of cheer!

But that is short lived,

and only lasts a while!

Now the alcohol has wore off,

He must do some washing, there’s a massive pile!

The little boy is crying,

as he watches the washing go around!

The little boy is crying,

His eyes are looking down!

The little boy is crying,

the washing is like his mind!

The little boy is crying,

it’s all jumbled and mixed up, and a bit intwined!

The little boy stops crying,

because life must go on!

He can cope with his bipolar,

and just hums to a song!

It has its ups and downs,

but life is not over!

It’s nothing like emphysema,

where the breathing makes a sound,

just like a concertina!

As you know my friends,

life throws a lot of shit at us!

Let’s see if we can throw it back,

without to much of a fuss!

The little boy was crying,

when he looked in the mirror to see!

The little boy stopped crying,

because that little boy is me!
