Old Fashioned Manners Go A Long Way!

Waving goodbye to a handful of bloggers!

Hi all, just having a little rant. Most bloggers out there are decent people with good manners, but I’ve found a small handful that haven’t got these qualities!. Perhaps it’s just me, but it pisses me off when I checkout another blog and read a few posts, then like and comment and maybe even follow them, then I don’t even get a like or reply back, it really annoys me!. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not expecting a follow back, but a reply to my comment would be nice!.

I know they must have read my comment as they’ve published new posts long after my comment. Isn’t it the decent thing to do to reply to someone’s that’s commented on your blog, or am I just being petty?. These few bloggers with no manners have thousands of followers, but haven’t got the decency to interact with their community!.

Like I’ve said this is a very small minority on WordPress, as the majority of bloggers thank you for your comment and will probably come over and check your blog out. When I’ve followed these bloggers and I don’t get a reply or even a like on my comment, when I know they must have read it, I go straight to the follow button and hit unfollow, and say goodbye you ignorant fucker, 👋👋 lol.

Anyway that’s my rant over, lol. I would now like to talk about bloggers Gravatars. A few of you will know what I mean as some of you have had this problem as well. I had problems with my Gravatar when I first started. I’ve had a few new followers with no website on their Gravatar, or it will say..”website not available”. So if any of the new bloggers that’s recently followed me, please check your Gravatars and make sure your website is on there.

When this happens I normally go around the houses to find these new followers, but even then sometimes there’s no “follow” button on their site, so cannot follow them back!. They must be losing traffic and new followers if it’s hard to find them, and when we do find them there’s no follow button?. Please check your Gravatars and make sure you have the “Wordpress follow widget” installed on your site. Cheers 😊👍

  1. I haven’t experienced this yet, but I’m sure it is frustrating. I’m sorry if I’ve done that to you. It is not intentional. Of course, you said it happens with people who have thousands of followers…..and I have less than 30. Hahaha.

  2. It’s happened to me as well. I am assuming if the blogger has chosen to allow people to comment on their blog that they want to communicate with other bloggers. I just don’t understand when I’m either complimenting their post or relating to it – that they ignore my comment. Not cool

  3. Sometimes I honestly just miss comments, or I go so long without checking my site that they get lost. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m sure it’s not personal. I’m very vigilant right after I post something, but then I get busy and sometimes I stay away from WordPress for weeks.
